Jordan began producing for his brother, Rev. Jaridon Ransom.  Jordan has written and produced for a number of other gospel singers, choirs, and ensembles in the state.

It has been said that Jordan has a style of his own. He remains true to his roots, traditional music. He has created a new sound dubbed contemporary traditional music, blending the traditional sound with the modern day instruments and sounds.  In every song that he has written, you will notice the sound of traditional Gospel music. As a gifted musician, his sound has been copied by the younger musicians, but no one can play the Jay Ransom sound like Jordan Ransom.

He was once quoted, "I learned to play traditional music, I cut my teeth on it, so that's what I play best.  I can play contemporary music, but I always end up going back to the traditional sound."
